To access doodle function, go to Decorate Collage tab and head to Doodle tab. Click Make Pieces to bring up the canvas. As shown below, the tools locate in the far right corner, and parameters of these tools could be defined under tool panel. By default, the Pencil tool will be activate when you open canvas. For this tutorial, directly hold down left button of your mouse and move the mouse to start doodling. With only a few clicks, you will get the ugly tree as followed. However, intelligent as you, much better doodles could be made using the easy-to-use tools, including Brush, Eraser, Magic Stick, Rectangle and Oval tool.
Alternatively, you can directly import a tree photo instead of doodling by yourself. If so, skip this step.
Step 3. Add Photo
As soon as the tree is ready, you could change back to Add Photo tab to import photos. To do so, first locate photos on the left hand side and directly drag favorite photos to desired photo frame. Afterwards, you can rotate, swap, crop, swap, pan and resize added photos through buttons, tool bar or right-click menu.
Step 4. Apply Mask
As you could see, the added photo with or without a frame has distinct edge. To merge the photo to the background perfectly, apply the Mask effect. Only a few clicks are needed to do so:
1. Go to Edit Photo tab -> Mask tab on the left hand side
2. Select the photo you want to apply mask to.
3. Double-click the mask thumbnail to apply it to selected photo. You could get more masks through the drop-down list on top. To cancel used mask, either right-click desired photo and select Clear Mask or simple click correspond button in smart tool bar of photo.
Besides, you can also edit photo by adding frame and filter effect in Frame tab or Filters tab, respectively.
Step 5. Decorate Collage
Switch to Decorate Collage tab and go to Text tab first. There you can directly input desired text, which will be displayed simultaneously to Work Space. Further settings are also available, such as Font, Size, Color, Shadow, Halation and Texture.
Next, change to Stamp tab to add stamps (here it's mainly leaves of the family tree), the glass under the tree and the flower in the bottom left corner. To add a stamp, simply drag to Work Space or double-clicking the stamp thumbnail. The added stamp will be black by default, however, you can change it to Texture, Brush or single color by double-clicking the added stamp in Work Space. Clicking the first button of stamp's tool bar would also bring up the setting dialog box.

Step 6. Save or Print
Now that the family tree was drawn, relatives's photos were hung on subsequently, later texts and stamps decorations were also added, you are close to the final result. If you just intend to use your photo collage on computer, save it in various image formats or directly set as desktop wallpaper. Otherwise, print it out with your installed printer.
