How to save the editing environment I have made, then I could finish my compiling next time?
You could save your entire editing environment (except settings used to burn DVD disc) to story so as next time to go on compiling. Here are the steps: click on the first icon that seems like a CD on the top left corner and select item "Save" in the pop-up menu. If it's a new story, you need to specify a story for it in the "Save Story" dialog. Otherwise, once you click the "Save" command, your story is saved immediately. Next time, just click on the "Open" button on the story thumbnail to open and start editing your story, all are the same with last modified.
In this version, you may need to manage the stories like ordinary files on your system. When you want to continue to edit a saved story, you need to locate your story in the Open dialog box or simply select a story in the recently used story list. Similar, if you would like add multiple stories to create DVD, you should also find your story in the Open dialog box first and then click "Open" to add. To save time spending on searching story files, it's advisable to manage your stories systematically.
How can I download and add more styles to the program?
Please note that only through full version can you download the free styles. Once full version is installed, run the program and step into Style tab window through button Style on the top side of screen. Locate Hyperlink “Get More Styles” at the right hand side under style categories box. It is an .exe file, double click to install it, and when installation is done, the additional styles will be added to the program.
Can I change the duration of segments?
For segment that has no style (shown as None), the duration could be any value between 1 second to 4 seconds. For other segments, the duration range depends on the default time length of used style. The maximum value is 2 times of the default length, while the minimum is half of default length. To change it, you have two options: under Storyboard mode or Timeline mode. On Storyboard, double-click the duration under style thumbnail and change it to the value you want. Remember that if the value you input is larger than the maximum or smaller than minimum, the program will automatically change it to the maximum or minimum value. Under Timeline mode, move your cursor over the right end of the segment and drag to right or left (increase/decrease duration) at your pleasure when the cursor turns into arrow shape. Note that if you find that you can't drag any more, you have arrived at its maximum or minimum value. With respect to the default length of styles, it's decided while the styles are designed and depends on the photo count. In general, The larger is the photo count, the longer the default length of style will be.
In Photo Story Platinum, you can decorate your stories with many preset elements. Once they are applied, there will be thumbnails on Timeline. If you don't like decorations you added, you could easily delete them either through “Delete” key on your keyboard or corresponding Delete buttons on top of Timeline after select the desired element, or right-clicking on the element thumbnail and choose “Delete” item in the resulting menu.
